Professionally Supervised Home Teeth Brightening
The most popular technique allows you to make your smile
whiter through dentist-supervised home whitening.

The cosmetic dental office will custom make a splint for you, to
fit precisely over your teeth. You place a gel in this splint and
wear it for certain prescribed periods during the day, or overnight.
Do this for two to four weeks or more, and your smile will be
brighter!

The trained cosmetic dentist will monitor your progress with
short follow-up appointments.
Advantages
Bleaching or teeth whitening is much
more comfortable and easier than getting
porcelain veneers or bonding.
Teeth whitening is less expensive than
these other treatments.
Nothing artificial has to be bonded or
attached to your teeth.
Your smile becomes permanently whiter.
Maintaining maximum whiteness requires
only minor touch-up treatments every year
or two.
Teeth whitening usually whitens quite
noticeably, and you can control the
results by how diligent you are with the
treatments.
You can continue to whiten as much as
you like by purchasing refill kits of the gel.

Disadvantages
It is not possible to predict exactly how
much it will whiten your smile.
Since you are doing this at home, there is
a potential for abuse by your not following
instructions.
Teeth whitening results are dependent
upon your home efforts.
Dark tetracycline-stained teeth can't be
whitened effectively to appear natural.
